A unique opportunity for award-winning artisan, Iain Burnett Highland Chocolatier and 3 Scottish gin distilleries to share with you the tastes and insights into how Iain’s famous Velvet Truffles and hand-crafted gins can each enhance the flavours and characteristics of the other.

There will be 5 pairings which will include the Dark Velvet Truffle; awarded Best Truffle in the World, and a tasting of Verdant Dry Gin produced in Dundee which has just won the accolade of The Scottish Gin of the Year 2017.

Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November from 12 Noon – 4pm.

A selection of Exel’s favourite gins will be available for tasting along with the ever popular Rubis Chocolate Wine.

Sub Rosa is an independent small batch bakery & café based at 11 South St John’s Place in the heart of the café quarter in Perth City centre.  Their menu includes a range of sweet and savoury items all freshly prepared on site using the best natural ingredients.

Their comfy coffee lounge is the perfect place to enjoy homemade afternoon tea, breakfast, lunch, sweet treats or freshly ground coffee.

As part of the Chocolate & Gin Festival taking place in Perth City Centre, Madderty Micro will be with us, offering samples of their Perth-made gins to tickle your festive taste buds. Drop in any time between 12 and 4 to chat to Russell and find out more about this wonderful flavoured gin.

If you’ve not tried this then do click over onto the PB Blog from earlier in the year, to find out more about Russell and his Perthshire based micro distillery. Russell has been in the drinks industry for over twenty years and spotted a gap in the gin market for a good quality full strength gin packed full of taste.

We are delighted to support this year’s Chocolate and Gin Festival by hosting our very own Chocolate and Gin Afternoon Tea in our upstairs lounge.

A delicious selection of exquisite sandwiches and savoury pastry will be served with chocolate and gin themed cakes and accompanied by tea or coffee. This will be followed by three exclusive Eden Mill gin liqueurs. If you have never sampled the mouthwatering strawberry and black pepper, lemon and raisin or pear and cassia gin liqueurs then now is your chance! Each gin will also be paired with an exclusive chocolate, lovingly matched by the Highland Chocolatier Iain Burnett.

Choose from either our early sitting from 12.30pm to 3.30pm or our later sitting from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. Tickets are ONLY £20 per person and with only four tables, each seating four, this event is bound to sell out quickly!

If you are looking for Christmas gifts, we will have bottles of the liqueurs and boxes of chocolates available to purchase on the day.
